Project: Administrative buildings under reconstruction
Location: Tambov Region, Russian Federation
Year: 2017
Duration: 3 days
Technology: DEEP INJECTION
Reinforcement of the foundations and water-logged base of an administrative building as part of the reconstruction
Problem
Insufficient bearing capacity of waterlogged foundation soils
Solution
Increasing the bearing capacity of the foundation and foundations
Problem
Task to be solved:
Increase the bearing capacity of waterlogged soils in confined conditions.

Initial data:
The reconstruction project for an existing administrative building provided for the addition of extra floors. However, during a detailed survey of the building structures and foundation soils, the design organisation identified insufficient bearing capacity of the waterlogged soils in the foundation base.

Goal:
Increase the bearing capacity of the foundation soils.
The project in detail
Technology applied:
The solution to the task in confined interior spaces was made possible by URETEK technology using the DEEP INJECTION method.
Solution
By injecting URETEK geopolymer composition into the waterlogged soil beneath the foundation footings, a strengthened mass was formed in the foundation, which improved the strength and deformation characteristics of the weak foundation.
