Restoring the foundation slab to the base and stabilizing the structures
Problem
A void formed under the foundation slab
Solution
Stopping subsidence and strengthening the base of structures
Problem
During the construction of a reinforced concrete foundation on a pile foundation, a void formed beneath the slab. Because the foundation was subjected to dynamic loads from the concrete mixing unit conveyor system, the designers decided that it was necessary to recreate the full‑area support of the slab grillage on the foundation. This solution reduces the negative impact of dynamic loads on the piles.

Task
Recreate the full‑area support of the foundation slab on the foundation.
Solution
To solve the task, a preliminary comprehensive survey of the foundation base was carried out. The results confirmed loosening of the foundation soils and the presence of voids under the slab up to 60 cm thick. The technical solution involved restoring continuous foundation‑soil contact by compensating injection of self‑expanding Uretek resins under the reinforced concrete foundation.
