Project: Transformer substation (auxiliary buildings and structures)
Location: Leningrad region
Year: 2019
Duration: 1 day
Technology: DEEP INJECTION & SLAB LIFTING
Equalization of the transformer substation
Problem
Roll of the structure by 6 cm
Solution
Base sealing and roll correction
In its work, the company also encounters small objects such as transformer substations. The implementation of such projects is no less interesting than large ones. Due to the small area of the foundation resting on the soil, lifting such structures causes considerable difficulties, which Uretek employees constantly handle successfully.
Problem
In 2018, a developer company, commissioned by Lenenergo, carried out the construction of a transformer substation. The depth of the underground foundation part is at -1.7 m, while as a result of the survey, a fully undisturbed virgin soil foundation was found at a depth of -1.9 m. Due to the uncompacted foundation, the structure developed a tilt of 6 cm. The customer did not accept the results – the developer turned to Uretek to compact the foundation and level the tilt to meet the tolerances.
Solution
After developing the project, Uretek applied two technologies: deep soil compaction using Deep Injection and tilt levelling using Slab Lifting. The work was completed within 5 hours, which was important because the substation was already in operation, and its temporary disconnection from the city grid would have cut off electricity to the entire neighbourhood. The work was carried out quickly and efficiently, as confirmed by the Uretek surveying service and later by a control check of height marks by Lenenergo.
