At the end of 2016, at a semi‑finished products factory, in a workshop with an area of 2,500 m², a comprehensive survey revealed significant zones of loosened soil, as well as zones of voids formed between the floor slab and the soil. This in turn led to deflection of the floor slab, the appearance of cracks on the load‑bearing walls, and consequently a halt in the production process due to disruption of the geometry of industrial equipment. According to a preliminary conclusion, the problems with the foundation soil could have arisen due to a breach in the sewer system.
Task:
Uretek specialists were tasked with strengthening the soil layer at a depth of –1.5 to 4.0 m, filling voids, and levelling the floor slab in the areas according to the developed project.
