Project: Trough type foundation
Location: Ufa District, Bashkortostan
Year: 2017
Duration: 6 days
Technology: SLAB LIFTING & VOID FILLING
Strengthening the base and foundation of an industrial enterprise by filling the voids
Problem
A void formed under the foundation slab
Solution
Reconstruction of the foundation slab resting on the base
Problem
During the construction of a trough‑type reinforced concrete foundation on a pile foundation, a void formed beneath the slab. Because the foundation was subjected to dynamic loads from a press, the designers decided that it was necessary to recreate the full‑area support of the foundation slab on the base. This solution reduces the negative impact of dynamic loads on the piles.

Task:
Recreate the full‑area support of the foundation slab on the base.
Solution
To solve the task, a preliminary comprehensive survey of the trough‑type foundation base under the press was carried out. The results confirmed loosening of the foundation soils and the presence of voids under the slab up to 90 cm thick. The technical solution involved restoring continuous foundation‑soil contact by compensating injection of self‑expanding Uretek resins under the reinforced concrete foundation.
