Project: Regional warehouse of IKEA MOS LLC
Location: Yesipovo, Leningradskoye Shosse, 52nd km, 28/1
Year: 2017
Duration: 45 days
Technology: DEEP INJECTION & SLAB LIFTING
Elimination of the consequences of long-term dynamic loads in the IKEA logistics complex
Problem
Local subsidence of the floor of the room
Solution
Reinforcement of the foundation soil and leveling of the floor slab
Problem
During prolonged operation of warehouse premises, including due to constant dynamic impact from forklifts, local settlement of the floor slab appeared, which interfered with the normal operation of the warehouse. Strengthening the foundation using cementation methods did not produce positive results.

Foundation:
Monolithic reinforced concrete floor slab with a thickness of 150–250 mm.

Task:
Strengthen the foundation soils, level the floor slab in the horizontal plane with tolerances of ±4 mm (height difference) per 3 m.
Solution
Before starting the foundation strengthening work, a comprehensive survey was carried out to determine the density of the foundation, identify weak‑bearing soil horizons, and detect voids under the floor slab. A zero cycle of geomonitoring was also performed to determine height differences. To solve the task of strengthening the foundation soils, the deep injection method – Deep Injection – was chosen. All work was carried out inside the building (in sections), injections were performed at several levels, strictly vertically. To level the floor, the Slab Lifting method was chosen. Injections were also carried out in sections, strictly in one direction. After completion of the foundation soil strengthening and floor slab levelling, a set of geodetic works was performed to install control marks for further monitoring and annual geomonitoring.
