Project: Private country house
Location: Rostov region
Year: 2014
Duration: 2 days
Technology: DEEP INJECTION
Reinforcement of the base and foundation of a residential building on clay soils
Problem
A sagging corner of the house and a crack in the exterior cladding
Solution
Consolidation and strengthening of the soil at the foundation level
Problem
Task to be solved:
Carry out work in the shortest possible time, without excavation.

Initial data
The owner of a country house was concerned about a settled corner and a crack that had developed on the external cladding of the building. A visual inspection revealed that these deformations were the result of high compressibility of the clay soil in the foundation base due to excessive wetting.

Objective
Eliminate the consequences of deformations by strengthening the soil in the foundation base of the residential house, filling micropores.
The project in detail
Technologies applied:
The problem was solved by the DEEP INJECTION method, injecting a polymer composition into the soil under the foundation of the settled corner. Due to expansion, the composition created compaction and consolidation of the weakened soil with partial lifting of the settled structure at the corner of the house, generally providing a moisture‑impermeable foundation.
Solution
The quality of soil strengthening and lifting of the settled corner structure was verified by geodetic survey and dynamic probing before and after injecting the mixture into the soil, as well as by laser monitoring of the vertical lift of the settled structures (average 5 mm) during the project. Upon completion of the last injection, the closing of the cracks with installed markers was visually recorded.
