A family from Saint Petersburg contacted the company with a problem of building tilt. At the time of the request, they did not yet suspect that the building had tilted by 180 mm! The customer was concerned that the extension to the house was slightly separating from the main building by 10–20 mm. After interviewing the building owner, it turned out that the foundation was a pile‑supported grillage. The pile embedment depth was 2 m. Uretek technicians conducting the house survey spent more than three hours searching for the stated piles under the grillage, but could not find them. Instead of quality sand backfill, construction debris was found under the grillage, which in turn also did not benefit the building.

The customer set the task of stabilising and also “pulling” (lifting) the building to the design level, i.e., achieving a lift of 180 mm in the areas of greatest settlement. It was decided to inject the Uretek composition from a depth of 2 m from the grillage. Thus, the lift was carried out without damaging the structures that lacked support due to the absence of foundation piles.

To restore the operational condition of the residential house, the foundation was first strengthened using the Deep Injection method. After increasing the bearing capacity of the foundation, the structures were lifted to the design level using the Slab Lifting method. All work on lifting and levelling the building was carried out under constant supervision of the surveying service.
