In 2018, the company received a report that cracks had appeared in the walls of a residential house, and over time (within two years) the situation worsened – the cracks continued to open and increased in some places from 2 mm to 14 mm. As a result of a comprehensive survey, layers of foundation soil with reduced bearing capacity were identified, which led to the development of uneven settlement of the building. The cause of the reduced bearing capacity of the foundation soils could most likely be a violation of the blind area, as well as an improperly installed drainage system.

This problem could be solved by traditional methods, by completely demolishing part of the house and rebuilding it from scratch. However, this procedure was too expensive (preliminary estimates from 1,800,000 rubles) and could take months, which was certainly highly undesirable. The engineering staff of the company developed a project to strengthen the foundation soils in order to restore bearing capacity and lift part of the building by injecting URETEK® geopolymer composition into the foundation soils.

During the repair and restoration work, the team of specialists successfully completed all the assigned tasks. The cost of this project was significantly lower than the traditional method, and all work was completed within one working day, which in turn greatly pleased the customer. Ultimately, after the global work to strengthen the soil and lift the building, all that remains is to carry out cosmetic repairs and continue to operate the restored structure.
