A three‑storey residential house in the Moscow region settled by as much as 80 mm in some places after the reconstruction of a room with a swimming pool.

The manager noticed that cracks began to appear on the load‑bearing walls both inside and outside the house. As a result of geotechnical monitoring, progressive settlement of the foundations and load‑bearing structures was identified.

Task:
The main task was to strengthen and level the three‑storey building without disturbing the residents. A secondary goal was to strengthen and lift the floor structures.

Working with the geotechnical report obtained after the survey carried out by the company's staff, Uretek engineers applied Uretek Deep Injection and Uretek Slab Lifting technologies using expanding geopolymer resins to restore the bearing capacity of the foundation and base, as well as to re‑level the settled floors. Ten external injection points were required. The second technology re‑levelled and re‑strengthened the floor slabs. This was done through 27 internal injection points.

Result:
All structures requiring intervention were strengthened and lifted to a pre‑agreed level. The result was confirmed by subsequent geomonitoring.
