During the construction of a frame‑type building, the foundation soil of one of the column‑type foundations with plan dimensions of 3600×3600 mm was washed out. Further loading of the foundation proved to be risky.

Solution
To solve the task, a preliminary comprehensive survey of the foundation base was carried out. The survey results revealed zones of loosened foundation soil directly at the slab‑soil contact point and at depths down to -2.5 m. The technical solution involved deep strengthening of the foundation soils of the column foundation with the installation of a curtain in the erosion zone to prevent horizontal shear phenomena.s.
