Project: Industrial power unit
Location: Astrakhan region
Year: 2019
Duration: 6 days
Technology: DEEP INJECTION & SLAB LIFTING
Reinforcement of foundation soils and raising the foundations of equipment and floors to the design levels
Problem
Negative impact of dynamic loads on foundations and floor slabs
Solution
Reinforcement and leveling of foundations and floors
Problem
Object:
Equipment foundations, production floor slabs.

Method:
Deep injection, Slab Lifting.

Problem:
During the construction of the reinforced concrete foundations and floors, no work was carried out to compact the backfill soils. Because the foundations and floors are subjected to dynamic loads from the installed equipment, the design engineers decided that strengthening the foundation soils of the foundations and floors inside the building was necessary. This solution minimises the negative impact of dynamic loads on the foundations and floor slabs.

Task:
Strengthen the foundation soils of the equipment foundations and floors; lift the settled foundations and floor slabs to the design levels.
Solution
To solve the task, a preliminary comprehensive survey of the foundation and floor base was carried out. The results confirmed loosening of the foundation soils and the presence of voids under the floor slabs of up to 50 mm. The technical solution involved restoring continuous foundation‑soil and slab‑soil contact by compensating injection of self‑expanding Uretek resins. The settled foundations and floors were returned to the design levels.
